This 2-day course is the essential course for any officer that may use a rifle in the course of their duties. No matter what your place on the team is – patrol officer, investigator, command, or more specialized like SWAT, you will benefit from this class.
Who Can Attend?
- Any sworn police officer in the United States.
- Per Department of State ITAR regulations, tactical training is only available to US Citizens/Legal Residents.
Why take this class?
We’ve found that a lot of departments are severely lacking in training in one or more areas where it’s a matter of life or death when the moment truly counts. Some departments have instructors that are still using the same techniques they learned when they went to some school in the 80’s. Other departments excel in one area and are completely lacking in others. Over the course of these 2 days we will build the groundwork to make your team a bunch of truly amazing shooters and seriously up their level against 1 or more attackers. This course could mean the difference between life and death.
Topics:
- Safety and range etiquette
- Weapon operation
- Accessories
- Zeroing
- Fundamentals of fire
- Shooting/ready positions
- Rapid target acquisition
- Target transitions in depth and width
- Moving targets
- Clearing of stoppages
- Rapid fire
- Fighter mindset
- Movement forward and laterally
What Do You Need?
We recommend you bring your duty rifle, because it’s the one you’ve trained with and used most often. But a more detailed breakdown would consist of:

- 3 magazines with at least 1 magazine holder
- 1000 rounds of ammunition
- You may bring steel cased ammo, and you may shoot reloads (at your own risk), but you may not shoot steel penetrating core ammunition (Green tip)
